Our Certified Jungian Analysts

Bonnie McLean lives and works in Ashland, Oregon. A member of the Pacific Northwest Society of Jungian Analysts since 2000 and a past president of PNSJA, she las led seminars for the society, its training division, CGJIPN, for sandplgy therapy training, and for Oregon Friends of Jung. She received her diploma as a Jungian Analyst in 1996 from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich. She is also a certified teacher in sandplay therapy. She is currently open to taking new clients.

Carol Walnum, MA, MBA, LPC has a private practice for individuals in any part of Oregon. She works with in-person or virtual therapy in the Portland area or via virtual therapy in all parts of Oregon.  She is currently taking new patients. Carol received her Diplomate in Jungian Psychology and Analyst Certification from the C.G. Jung Institute, Zurich, Switzerland in 2013. A professional clinical counselor since 2005, she focuses on difficult life issues including mood and anxiety, trauma, change and conflict in life, repeating dysfunction in one's life patterns or relationships as well as challenging matters of the heart. She works with adults, young adults beginning at age 25, and seniors.

Dunbar Carpenter, Psy.D. received his diploma as a Jungian Analyst in 1995 from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich. He has been in clinical practice since 1991. He works with individuals and couples.

Janet Tatum, M.S.W., L.I.C.S.W., received her diploma as a Jungian Analyst in 2008 from the C.G. Jung Institute Pacific Northwest. She has been in clinical practice since 1972. She works with adults, adolescents, and children and their families. She specializes in sandplay therapy for which she also offers consultation.

Jerry Deckelbaum, J.D., M.S.W., L.C.S.W., received his diploma as a Jungian analyst in 2017 from the C.G. Jung Institute Pacific Northwest. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist and Jungian analyst, he was an attorney and a classical musician. His clinical work has served adults struggling with a wide spectrum of psychological challenges, including extensive experience with GLBTQ clients. He has completed professional trainings in depth psychology and relational psychoanalysis, and has been in private practice in Portland since 2001.
 

Leonard J. Marcel, M.D. received his diploma as a Jungian Analyst in 1992 from the C.G. Jung Institute Pacific Northwest. He has been in clinical practice since 1973 and is currently not accepting general referrals to his practice.

Maureen O'Donnell, M.A., L.P.C., received her diploma as a Jungian Analyst in 2013 from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zürich. She has been in clinical practice since 1996. She works with individuals and specializes in sand play therapy, dreams, and the psyche-soma connection.

Sarah Hoagland, MA, LPC, received her diploma as a Jungian Analyst in 2021 from the CG Jung Institute in Zurich.  She completed the BodySoul Rhythms Leadership Training in 2007 led by Jungian Analyst Marion Woodman, Ann Skinner and Mary Hamilton. She has been in clinical practice since 1993. She works with individuals and couples.
